Byrnes Memorial Day and Every Day
That blood of Hero's never dies.....(1915 Moina Michael)
We cherish too, the poppy red
That grows on fields where Valor led,
It seems to signal to the skies
Remembrance always First Lieutenant Robert Brynes
...this poem was written in response to Flanders Field, (a poem written about WWI). The last line, 'That blood of Hero's never dies', I believe holds true for 'All Our Fallen Hero's' that gave their all throughout the years in efforts to protect our great nation, protect our freedoms and answered their call to duty! Their ultimate sacrifice on our behalf shall never be forgotten. Heartfelt prayers go out to Robert's family.
