Sarah Ford squinton@cfl.rr.com Wear his bracelet Plane went down on the day I was born I always think about you and wonder what you were like. I visited the Wall when I was a tourist in Washington, D.C. I was so moved by the experience. I went to look for a bracelet to give to my father with his birthday as either the date of birth, date gone missing, or date of passing of a soldier, since my dad was a Navy lieutenant who narrowly avoided serving in Viet Nam. I couldn't find one, but I came across yours you went down on the very day I came into this world, so I have your bracelet. I am saddened by the thought that one day there will be an Iraq Memorial Wall and they will be selling mementos of boys and girls who are in early adulthood right now. Tuesday, February 28, 2006 |
