C.  Powell Ret 196 th and OCS FT.Sill Ok loving and honored memory of Bob . May Bob Byrnes forever rest in peace and never be forgotten. 'Fading light dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright.
From afar drawing nigh Falls th...e night.
'Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky.
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.
Then good night, peaceful night,
Till the light of the dawn shineth bright,
God is near, do not fear
Friend, good night.' Mar 3, 2010 |

Sleep the sleep that knows not breaking,
Dream of battled fields no more.
Days of danger, nights of waking.'

Don  Diemer
Bob and I shared the walk to and from La Sierra high school in 1959-60?
Well, time dims the memory, but I remember those walks. I attended La Sierra for one year and then, I finished HS at Mira Loma. I will be sure to touch his name on the Wall when ever it is that I get to visit it.
It is a great thing that you have done to honor your brother. He is a hero, and I'm proud to have known him. Feb 10, 2010 |
