I served with LT Byrnes in Nam, so many years ago. His passing is remembered by those of us who knew him during his time with us. His passing holds meaning. May his family find some peace in knowing his life had meaning beyond his young Feb 5, 2010 |

Scott J.  Black My dad is a Vietnam vet from the 196. I have never seen a stronger man in my life. He laughs and cries and does everything a man should do. I have never seen such a proud and sad look in his eyes as I did when we saw the traveling wall a few years ago. I thank him and everyone who has served. I also thank the families of those... who have lost someone in combat. The families are really the ones who have given all. A soldier understands, sometimes families do not. God Bless this country. U.S.A. will rise from the ashes, just give us time. Watch out world. Jan 10, 2010 |
