Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. “He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!

Dear Robert Byrnes~ As a 15-year-old, sophomore, it is hard for me to believe, that someone so young could have given his life, for our country. It's unbelievable what Veterans, went through in the war. I have spoken, to a few and they are very vague in their descriptions of the war, because of the pain, it brings them. I know, that it was hard for someone, in his twenties to deal with the ideas of war, but I know that it must have been worse for you, as a 23-year-old man. I want to thank you, for giving your life for the sake, of our country. You will always be remembered, for the sacrifice you gave, for my freedom. Thank you and God Bless.

Juanita (Nicki) Buck
Indianapolis, In., 46236,
Bob Byrnes, it has been 40, years, February 9, 1968-2008, RIP.
To Bob, with love.
Here stands a boy with a rifle in his hand, hope in his heart as he steps onto this land. To a boy so young and full of life, he struggles along swinging his knife, making a path, hoping to find a place to rest and some peace of mind. He gazes at the night feeling sad and alone, hoping once again to see his home. The sky was black and the clouds were gray, as he folded his hands, and kneeled to pray. He prayed for things that we can't see, for life, happiness and once again, to be free. He crawls to his bed, made of weeds and thinks, of all the things he needs. His eyes fill with tears, as he thinks of the past, all the good times he had why couldn't they last. He hides his head as he turns to cry, remembering the friends that he saw die. Tossing and turning all through the night, trying to sleep with all of his might, when the sounding of mortars, the crys from the heart, find our young hero, asleep in the dirt. Dawn has come and he is on his way, hoping to survive another day, when the enemy is spotted there is no place to run, so he hides in a ditch holding his gun. Everything seemed to happen so fast, that our young hero, just couldn't last. A shot from the trees, he falls to his knees, gasping for air, but it just wasn't there. "Oh help me," he sighed, to his buddies who cried, for our young hero who had died. They said that he died very brave, as I kneeled beside his grave. A rose in the dirt I left, that day and with tears in my eyes, I went on my way. The war for him, was over and done, but he didn't lose. No, He Won! I wrote this for you, Bob, one year, after you died. I had it copywrited and printed, in the newspaper. I'm sure you saw it. I miss you very much. You taught me, so much and always waited, for me to grow. I was immature, but I did grow up.... Thank you, for everything!
