Bob Hazen I knew David a bit in junior high school, when he and Mark Morben came in with a well-earned reputation as one of the best basketball players around. We played each other in intramurals, and he was an excellent player in 7th grade. By the time we got to 9th grade varsity, David seemed to be busy with other things in his life, and I gradually had less and less contact with him as the high school years continued on. I remember hearing that he had been killed around the time the rest of us were graduating from high school.
