Danielles, told his mother, he was going to Vietnam, "because I, have a job to do." The 20-year-old, Marine, private, first class, had attended, Thomas Edison, High School, where he ran, track, and had worked, as a stock boy, in a cigar factory, before enlisting, in December 1964. The rifleman, assigned, to the 3rd, Battalion, 26th, Marines, 3rd, Marine Division, was killed, in Con Thien, Quang Tri, Province, on September 10, 1967. He was engaged, to be married. Survivors included, his mother. Deighton lived, on North, 33rd, Street, Strawberry, Mansion section, of Philadelphia. Source: Philadelphia Daily News
