“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. “He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!

Friend
Charlie was a handsome, dynamic man who had beautiful blue eyes and was a sweetheart. He and I and a bunch of friends from Drums had a lot of fun together. He had a twin brother who died a few years later in an accident. Charlie is remembered in the minds and hearts of many in the area I live in. He left some wonderful friends behind. He is prayed for. When I think of him, his memory makes the reality of Viet Nam come alive, all those wonderful young men who fought because they were asked. Charlie visited after basic training, and it is said that he told some of his friends goodbye. God Bless You Charlie, and may you and all the other wonderful men who gave their lives in for our country throughout the years, rest in peace.

The picture shows Charlie, on R&R., along, with my brother, PFC., Alan Thomas Read, who died May 19th, 1967. They served, together and I'am glad, they had one another's friendship, so far, from home. I think the words written, on a headstone, in an Irish, cemetery, states some of the feelings, we all can gain, strength from. "DEATH LEAVES A HEARTACHE, NO ONE CAN HEAL, LOVE LEAVES LIVES A MEMORY, NO ONE CAN STEAL," God Bless You, Charles Earl Dyke.
