I also have a POW/MIA bracelet of him. I got this as a small kid in grade school. we all got them to show support. I heard a local news broadcast that they had foung remains of a local man. Maj Joseph Christiano. They were on the same plane and mission. I would love to give this bracelet to a family member as I have kept it all these years.

You are remembered
I was 20 years old when Capt. Eilers went missing and I an now 65. I am priviledged to have had his bracelet for all these years. This is the first time I've seen any information about Capt. Eilers. God bless you for your sacrifice, and may perpetual light shine upon you as you rest in peace.

i wear, his pow/mia., bracelet
it is my understanding, that capt., dennis eilers, [cedar rapids, iowa] was co-piloting an ac., 47d -aka., 'spooky, 21,' at the time, of his disappearance, dec., 24, 1965, over laos. he was only, 27, yrs., old and to this date, his remains have, never been recovered, nor, have the remains, of the other 5, personal involved, in the incident: over 600, servicemen, disappeared in laos, but these men, were never negotiated, for either by direct negot., between our countries, or through, the paris, peace accords, which ended the war, in vietnam, since laos, was not a party, to that aggreement.

I was privileged to wear a bracelet with Capt. Eilers' name on it, received when we were stationed at Clark AB, P.I. in 1969-1971. It was mislaid and recently found -I searched this web site hoping that he may have survived. I hope to return the bracelet to a friend or family member. Mary Gayfield
