Sgt Ashlock, you went missing 2 days after I was born. and 18 years later I became a Marine and served 21 Years, your sacrifice as all of our Servicemen and women will always be remembered. I have had my bracelet which bears your name since I enlisted in 1985, it is my constant reminder...Freedom is never free! Rest well Marine, SEMPER FI! My Sons are now carrying the cross!

To the family with deepest sincerity I have been wearing a Pow Mia band on my right arm since my father got it for me in 9th grade, that was 1990. I took it off for only two months in the time since and that was for boot camp. Having a marine corps father who lost his leg in Vietnam has instilled in me the duty to remind people that some who fought never came home and that some families will forever hurt. My heart goes out to you as I wear your sons band.
