“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. “He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!

Additional information -
Mike Vet., In regard to your inquiry, Tsgt., Fitzgibbon Jr's, story was told, on the History Channel. It seems with him being, the first casualty, of the Vietnam War, he was an aircrew chief, acting, in the capacity, of advisor. On one flight, (6-8-56) one, of the personnel, on the plane and he became involved, in an argument. Later, that day the other person, having been drinking, heavily, exited, a drinking establishment on base, where he saw Tsgt., Fitzgibbon, playing, with some young children. He fatally shot, Tsgt., Fitzgibbon, who, in turn became the first, casualty. I believe, the show was called, "The Vietnam Experience," which also included, a program refrence, the names on the wall, that are alive. Seems the following, is also, a father and son, making two sets, of fathers and sons, on the wall. Leo Hester Sr., Died, March 10, 1967, in a aircraft crash, his son, Leo Hester Jr., was KIA., November 02, 1969, also, in a aircraft crash.

Honor at last
it took many years and many fights, for them to finally but my uncle's name where it has belonged since the deadication of the Wall, with his sons name which is also on the Wall. The only father and son killed in Vietnam, now together again forever.
