Bob Hunt shipbldr@shentel.net Fellow, radio operator and friend 129, Abby Lane, Strasburg, VA., 22657, USA I served, with Colin and was by his side, the day, he died. We were, being lifted from the DMZ., that day when we started, taking incoming artillery, from deep inside, North Vietnam. I was in a foxhole, with our air, liaison officer, Lt., Wiley, the battalion XO. and a LT., artillery FO., when the 130, mm., round, hit, on the lip, of our hole, seriously wounding the 3, officers, in the hole, but not me. Colin was, in the foxhole, just below ours. The previous round, flew right over, our foxholes and I believe, he knew that we were, on the gun's, trajectory and was trying, to get to a different foxhole, when the last round hit, which killed him. I was by his side, with the Doc., who was trying, to treat him and helped, remove his flak, jacket, to treat his wounds, but he died, before we, could save him. I didn't know him, well, but will never, forget that day, or his death. You will, always be remembered by me, Colin, till the day, I die. Bob Hunt, Cpl., USMC., 1st, BN., 3rd, Marines. Apr 2, 2008

George Tiedemann gtimages@aol.com friend 4141, Squankum-Allenwood Rd., Howell, NJ., 07731, USA Colin was, the kind of guy, that if your daughter, brought him home, you would hope, she would marry him. He truly was, a nice young man, who would have made, a wonderful husband and father. I know, that with every life, comes death, it's just sad to realize, that so many, fine, young people, like Colin never got, to realize the beauty, of life. God bless and I miss you.
