Darby Thorpe DarbysDesk@aol.com Marine Let me tell you why I am writing on your tribute page. We have never met. Your fellow Marines now have a gathering place called The Few. I won't try to explain how Marines from all over the world can connect and correspond because you wouldn't believe if I told you. Things have changed so much since you left us. I wish that you were here to see the world as it is now. We are still having wars, people are still not getting along but the world is still turning. A lot of good things are happening too. You Vietnam Veterans, both those who made it and those who didn't, have finally gotten the respect, thanks and honor that you so rightly deserved. You died a hero my Marine brother. Thank you for your sacrifice. All gave some some gave all - - - - - - - Semper Fi - - - - - - - - One of The Few - - -Darby Sunday, June 06, 1999 |
