Pete,

Its me, "Snobby", your squad leader when you first arrived in Viet Nam. I haven't forgotten you. I only wish I had been with you that day. Maybe I could have prevented your death. I was part of your 21 gun salute service that we had for you back in our base. I was proud to have honored you and you will not be forgotten. Your life mattered to me.
