LCPL HAZZARD and I were together in Charlie Company, 1st Battalion. 3rd Marines on Operation HICKORY/BEAU CHARGER along the coast in the DMZ, when he met his fate. It was the first day of the Operation to move the friendlies SOUTH Out of the DMZ. The Battalion had a day long Battle with the NVA. For the day, the Battalion sustained a total of 19-KIA and 43-WIA. Another TUFF Day. Semper Fi Don B C/1/3 67-68. (I am the Web master at www.onethreemarines.com , and we have information there about Our Battalion with some History of Vietnam there. Also, there is a list of the MEN who served in Charlie Company in case you might know or looking for a Marine from C/1/3. Know WE in C/1/3, DO REMEMBER Our Brothers on this WALL! Semper Fidelis and RIP My Brother!)

Pride of Our Generation
Frank, you were not only a fellow classmate, but one of the first from our hometown to die in Vietnam. The town has never forgotten you and other ' home town' men and women who answered their Nation's call and paid the ultimate sacrifice. You look strong, determined and proud in the military photo that sits in the Trophy Case outside the Auditorium in the High School. It is a reminder of what our country's freedom and it's principles of human rights costs each generation that is faced with having to defend them. I was proud to know you, to have gone to school with you and to remember you and the others from home whose sacrifice I have never forgotten. God has taken you into his kingdom, where you live in His glory forever!

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

You will always be in my heart
I remember my uncle as a young man who was full of life and promise - a man who had honor and pride. That is why he joined the Corps. And I followed in his footsteps. I made it home. He did not. I will never let his memory die or the sacrifice that he and many others made in that war.
