John  O'Donnell Marine VET TO HONOR A BRAVE MARINE Honor a word and yet what does it mean to the 58,000 plus on this wall? Can we ever HONOR these men and women enough! What they had to endure, what they did for their brother and sister's in arms. How they lay down their life so that others could live in PEACE AND HARMONY. This speaks so well for them all. WE who survive today must remember them TODAY and FOREVER.

Gerald Hines ghines@tampabay.rr.com Served with Captain Hines, 3/26 200 Citrus Hill Rd. Palm Harbor, FL 34683 USA You Were My Hero I served with Captain Hines when he was a company commander and I was a S-2 Scout. Captain Hines was the first Marine Corp officer that I admired and respected, not because he was an officer, but because he was sincerely interested in his Marines. Captain Hines' dedication, sensitivity, and use of humor have remained with me as guideposts in how to conduct my life. Ralph Hines resides in my soul as one of the most important men in my life.
