Leon, I have often thought of you my friend and fellow Veteran. I knew you when we were young before going to Vietnam. I honor you who made and paid the supreme sacrifice for America so we could have our freedoms we so love and enjoy. You are not forgotten by no means.

PFC., Leon Edward Barnard, on this day, thirty nine, years ago, you made the ultimate sacrifice, for your country. You, should have had, your whole life before you, but war, ended it, when you were, only twenty, years old. You, are a hero, who, we will, never forget. When this country called you, to go and fight, you did so, when many ran. You and those like you, are what makes, America, great. Thank you, PFC., LEON BARNARD, for freedom, today.

They shall, grow not old, as we that are left, grow old. age shall, not weary them, nor, the years condemn. At the going down, of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. In remembrance, of your birthday. Thank you, for the ultimate sacrifice, you gave to protect, your freedoms and mine and all others, throughout the ages. I'am sorry, that you like many others, throughout the centuries, that our mutual, freedom, has been fought, for, are not celebrated as guardians, of freedom, as much as you, should be HEROES, to everyone. Unknown, to me, but never forgotten. All the world's, love, to the family, you left behind. Again, I THANK YOU!

You, Sir, Have Not, Been Forgotten!

During my visit, to The Vietnam, Memorial Wall, in Washington DC., I searched and found, the names of my friends, classmates, neighbors, etched, into the smooth, black, face, of the Wall, an extraordinary outpouring of emotion, became so strong. I was so overwhelmed, with sorrow and pain, that I could not hold back the tears, for those heroes and their families, who lost, so much. Though my visit, to the Wall was a few years ago, I feel, that I left a piece, of my heart there. To honor, those who died, in the Vietnam War and to say thank you, I created, a small tribute, to those heroes. Please click, on the link above, to view, memorial website.
