I will always remember 'Happy Birthday'
Not a day goes by I don't think of you, George. This day is your birthday. You alway's thought family was important but it was never the same after you left us. I can still hear your last words as mom and me put you on that plane as you were going to Vietnam. You said I love you sis, now be sure to go take care of mom. Thru tears I waved and said goodbye, I love you always. You waived back with your handsome smile. Forever in my heart. Love, Kathy

Hon, I said goodbye to you, last Saturday. I have, loved you, since I was, a young teen and you are part, of who I'am now. I, will carry you, with me till the day, I die. But I finally, completed, a grieving process by discovering, how you lived and died. My questions, are answered now and finally laid to rest, with you. I promise, to live, my life in a way, to make you, proud of me. Thank you, for the precious, gift, you sent me. Please guide me in caring, for it all the days, of my life. Love, Mary

Remembrance for a fallen hero
How often you will have me near you when wood smoke drifts across the wind or the sky darkens in a summer storm think of me in the days to come, as I am thinking of you this minute not gone or alone or dead, but part of the earth beneath you part of the air around you part of the heart that must not be lonely.

I Remember

Hon, I sat at your grave, this weekend and marveled, that you have slept beneath, your beloved Michigan, earth, for over 40, years now. How, could it be? Your laughter still rings, in my ears! As I sat there, loving you, in your eternal, youth, I too, was young again. We were children, of the lake, with our whole lives, before us. To short the laughter, to long the tears. My love, you are alive as long, as someone remembers. I remember... you taught me, 'Semper Fi.'
