Gary Cowart gkcowart@yahoo.com Fellow marine 25052 104th Ave SE Kent WA 98030 USA George, On 21 August 1968, my five man team met up with a grunt platoon on a ridge above Thoung Duc village, Quang Nam Province. At 7:30 AM, when we thought we were safe, we saw helicopters coming to pick us up. then all hell broke loose on the LZ. George, I didn't know any marines in that platoon. You all took serious casuties, and I was wounded seriously myself. I wonder if we were together on that hill, 39 years ago today. Rest in peace my brother. Cpl. G K Cowart USMC Aug 21, 2007
