friend, from 3rd, Squad, 3rd, Platoon,
You are, the true hero
You were, the first person I met, when I came, into the squad and you took me, under your wings. It was you, that was directly behind me, when Victor Charles, opened up, on us. I can still see, the image of his face, as he was pulling the trigger. Why you and not me, only God knows. After all these years, I still think about, that awful day. You were the true hero, for which Veteran's Day, is all about. When it is my time, we will throw back, a few and talk, about the fun we had.

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!

Richard: I remember, more about you
Richard: While thinking about you and I, I realized, I was in Vietnam, when you were shot. The clipping from the Stars & Stripes, listing you as a casuality, is still in my 'Nam scrapbook. I wish, I could have escorted your body home, my friend. It would have been an honor, only another "grunt," like you and me would understand. I arrived, June 9, '69 and you passed over July 3, '69. You must have extedned your tour, because your "DEROS" date, is before, you were hit. What courage man! I didn't have the gutsm to do that. And you always said, how tuff you thought, I was. You the man, Richard. History, has proven that. Again, Rest in Peace, Mr. Key! Buster
