“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

I think about him nearly every day, so he's not forgotten. We came in country about the same time and he was one of the first guys we lost in the whole year I was there. I remember when it came over the loudspeaker in the company area that his huey had been downed. My first thought was of his Mom and Dad back in Montana and how I knew he was dead before they did. God what an awful waste that damn war was. What a waste.

Dick and I had just started dating casually when he was shipped of to Nam. We spent Christmas of 68 together at his parents place. We wrote back and forth and he sent me one of his pins. I still have it in a scrap book. We laughed a lot cause that is what Richard made you do. He was good friend and I wonder where life would have taken us. My maiden name was Roth.

I remember looking at him in church (I was only 13 when he was killed) before he left and praying for him. He was such a hero to all of us such a friendly and caring man. Fromberg is a small town and the Catholic Church is even smaller, but he knew ALL of us, especially the younger kids. His funeral was one of the saddest I have ever been to his parents and brother were never again the same -such a tragic loss to us all. I still remember him -after all these years he's still in my thoughts and prayers.
