You are in the company of forgotten heroes and we will meet again in Heaven with its streets guarded by United States Marines. With the greatest respect and admiration from those of us who came home for those who did not. Thanks to your fellow Marine, Loyde, who recorded the circumstances of your sacrifice in Au Shau while with K 3/26 Marines. Andy, it's about 2:00am on the 39th anniversary of our death and, I can not sleep. We (Kilo Company 3/26) lost both you and LT Joyce on Charlie Ridge atop the mountains of the A Shau Valley, a thick and unforgiving jungle canopy. I look forward to seeing you again. Your old buddy, Snake.
