My sister Linda and Teddy were high school sweethearts (Belmont High) and continued their relationship thru his tour of duty. I loved him like a brother he was always at our house. I remember the day my sister was informed his platoon was missing - and his body recovered a week before her birthday. Whenever I think of him, I smile, and he will always be in my heart and on my mind.

I'm the Historical Advisor, member #0003 for E Company (Long Range Patrol) 20th Infantry (Airborne) & C Company (Ranger) 75th Infantry (Airborne) First Field Force Vietnam Association. We were attached to the 4th Infantry Division for administartive purposes only.

Our unit was organized with highly trained and motivated soldiers. most of whom hsd spent at least 6 months in combat and had undergone an intensive selection program before they were assigned. Only the best of the best could prevail. Our unit was organized to provide long range reconaissance, surveillance, target acquisition, and special type missons on a corp level basis and usually operated in 4-6 man teams. The company also had the capacity to operate as a pltoon size force and conduct regular recon-in-force missions. At times, they were attached to Special Forces units and were trained by them at the MACV Recondo School in Vietnam. "RANGERS LEAD THE WAY"

Myfriend
Teddy was a hero because he did so many things that no one else would do. He was a friend who lived life to its fullest. Teddy was loyal, maybe too loyal. Three of us from Belmont,MA went to Vietnam, Teddy, Donnie Ray and myself, only I returned. My heart aches because they never had the opportunity to have a family, to have a nice job or to grow old with those who loved them. I hope they know how much I miss them and that I always remember them. The days at Ft. Bragg provide me with wonderful memories of us all young and alive. Peace!

Gone too soon
Teddie earned every accolade awarded him, not by being loud or bullish, but by just being himself. An unselfish friend and brother who only knew how to do things one way.the right way.He will always be missed, never forgotten, and most of all, always talked about. As a (former) "Screamin' Eagle," I know Teddie's memory will never die.
