Remembrance of Sergeant Don Lepak
Sergeant Lepak was my platoon sergeant on the 30th. of November 1968 . I have always remembered him . His name is one of eleven copied by tracings from The Wall in Washington . They hang framed on my wall . If family or friends would like to hear my memory of Don , or the events leading up to, and including, the battle on November 30 , 1968 please contact me . Dennis B. Rest in Peace, Don!
I met Don Lepak at Northland College where in our free time we enjoyed bluegill fishing, deer and partridge hunting and each other’s friendship. Don was a kind soul who enjoyed the refreshing spirit that comes from hunting, fishing and being in nature and the outdoors. Don made a difference for the thousands of Vietnamese people who now enjoy peace for the first time in a century. Don’s efforts made the world a better place by fighting for peace, freedom and independence. The Vietnamese people say “cả m õn bạ n” or thank you! Don, “you will long be remembered for your efforts in Vietnam. Family and friends all miss you!” Robert Bublitz, former member of the Joint U.S. Public Affairs Office, Saigon, Vietnam & Fellow Northland College Alumni

In Memory of Sargent Don Lepak
Sargent Lepak I didn't know you that long because I was new to country too, but I will always remember how you took the time to make me feel welcome and to be part of the platoon. I will always remember your easy going personality. It was an honor and privilege to have known you, and to have served with you. Rest In Peace My Friend
