I knew Larry Beebe as a student at Harper Creek High School. Although a few years older than I he was a guy I easily admired for his athletic ability. I just want to say, thank you to Larry and his family, for their dedication and sacrifice to our country! Please know, that you have, not been forgotten

I remember
Our dead brothers still live for us and bid us think of life, not death-of life to which in their youth they lent the passion and joy of the spring. As I listen, the great chorus of life and joy begins again and amid the awful orchestra of seen and unseen powers and destinies of good and evil our trumpets sound once more a note of daring, hope and will. I see them now as once I saw them on this earth. They are the same bright figures that come also before your eyes and when I speak of those who were my brothers, the same words describe yours. I remember Larry, from my neighborhood in Ceresco, MI.. His family attended, the same church, that I did, Ceresco Baptist. Even though, Larry was a few years, older, than me I knew him, because of his, athletic abilities and scholastic achievement, in high school, through his brother, Chuck, who was, in my grade. Larry was, very well liked and respected, by those who, knew him. He is the only person, I know from my neightborhood, that was killed, in Vietnam. My brother, Bruce Derrick, had just arrived in Saigon, when we received, news, of Larry's death. It was, a very, very sad day. The war took, him, from a loving, family, wife and children. Luckily my brother returned safely, to us all. He will, always be, a hero to us all, that knew him.

Tribute, to an Army, Friend
I knew Larry, from Ft. Belvoir, Va.. He was assigned, as an instructor, through the Corps, of Engineers and taught, road/airfield construction. He always, had a sense of humor, about everything. You died shortly, after leaving Belvoir. When we heard the news, we were, all stunned. You will, always be, a Hero. And you will, always be remembered by me, whenever I think, of Viet Nam, Ft. Belvoir and the U.S., Flag. May you, rest in peace.
