I honor and remember you this day dear sir. You died on the this day so many years ago. The same day as my brother Howard W Bandelier - also a Navy Hospital Corpsman and in the same area. Maybe the two of you served together. I am thankful for you and your gift to our country. Rest in peace American Hero.

God Bless you Jim.
All these years later and you remain in my thoughts. I remember you dry wit and how you could make all of us laugh. Thank you and all our people who gave their lives so we can be safe and our country free. Also I hope this finds Terry and Gene happy. My love to you and all of our heroes, alive and those who have passed on.

Studied and partied with Jim at Great Lakes, Illinois from 1/67 to 5/67. He wasn't the best student and was almost thrown out of the class until we got together and helped him get his grades and bs quotient up and we graduated together. I'll never forget his irreverent sense of humor or his lack of tolerance for Navy bull. One of the old Navy nurses who trained us called Jim a shitbird. She couldn't have been more wrong. Jim could do more for morale with a quick comeback than anyone I ever met. I'm proud to have known him.

I went to school with Jim and Ran around with him and his brother's. He was raised by his mother and grandfather on his dad's side. His father gave his life to keep us a free country in Korea. He was a wonderful friend and a wonderful man. I know that anyone that knew him feels the same way.

I had the opportunity to visit The Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington DC. I was so overwhelmed with sorrow and pain that I could not hold back the tears for those heroes and their families who lost so much. Though my visit to the Wall was a few years ago, I feel that I left a piece of my heart there. To honor those who died in the Vietnam War and to say thank youàI created a small tribute to those heroes. Please click on the link above to view memorial website.
