Alesia Boles graycat62@yahoo.com niece I was five years old on a beautiful May afternoon when 2 Marines came to my grandparents home bearing the news of your death. I have never forgotten that day. I have never forgotten being picked up and squeezed by a smiling bright red headed young man who whispered "I love you" in my ear. When I carried my son, I would alternate between dread and hope that he would have glowing red hair. To my disappointment, he did not. Your family was NEVER ashamed of you. I have always been proud to say that my uncle gave his life for his country and family in the War in Vietnam. Tuesday, March 11, 2003
Stephen Walker g450@hotmail.com Fellow Marine Time Has Past I remember the hot June day we left for Parris Island after graduation from East Forsyth. Third Recruit Training BN Plt. 348. Time has past, saw your name on the "Wall" nine years ago. It took that long for me to go. I came back from Vietnam, left the Corps in '68, went with the NC Highway Patrol, retired in '94. Rest well Clyde. Friday, April 25, 2003
