My fellow Marine
We all called him Moffitt. He was my friend. I remember him as being a happy fellow. There was three of us who went to the bush together. We were friends. On March 13 one died , one was wounded and one walked away unhurt. That is me. I think of Moffitt every day.

I never knew this Marine, but I knew of him. I was wounded in the same Province 4 days earlier. I was a Corpsman with Golf 4th Marines. My friends in the service thought it was me and called my family. I went to the wall a few years back to see a few old friends and saw his name. I know he on Station in Heaven ...God bless him and all others with him now.

The Moffitt family has not forgotten Tommy. We don't have a grave to visit, because he was buried at sea, but he lives on in our thoughts and our prayers.

Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

Why did he have to go and not me.
I often wonder why Thomas Moffitt? Tom was a friend in High School and had to give his life and I didn't have to. I am also a Vietnam Veteran, and was also stationed in Quang Tri, Vietnam where Tom was killed, but I followed Tom one year later. Tom had to make the Supreme Sacrifice, and every time I visit the Wall it has a very special meaning because of Tom. To anyone who reads this, Tom will never be forgotten.

To a Fellow High School Student Who Did Not Get the Oppourtunity to Go On To College
Tommy was a fellow student at Albert Einstein High School. He, and I and some others spent a week after high school at Ocean City. I didn't know Tommy that well, but well enough to know that he was a kind, quiet kind of man that we can all be proud of. If there were more men like Tom maybe we could have been more successful. I regret to say, that I was unable to help Tom and the other brave souls who sacrificed their lives for those who still live. Frankly, I don't believe we deserve those who did go and did do their honor bound duty.
