“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

Don did not die in vain. He was cut down by the NVA as he was leading a fire team that was bringing a coreman to a team that had been caught in an ambush. He volunteered himself and his team in order that others could be saved. Operation Buffalo, 06 july 1967 Charley Co. 3d Plat. 1stBn/3dMar.

My wife Miranda and I shared friendship while we were stationed at Camp Lejuene, NC. with Donald and his wife Ruth. We lived on Lrjune Blvd. and walked every where we went. We have fond memories both of Donald and Ruth. The Vietnam War stole his life but not his spirit as he will forever be our hero, Semper Fi Marine! He saved my life one day
He stood up under hostile fire and pulled me in to safety after I had been wounded. While he did not die that day, he always looked after his men. Where I am and what I have today is all because Donald Pike risked his life to save mine. Semper Fi
