Robert Wahl WindyCitybob34@aol.com High School friend 1306 Norwood Hills Drive O'fallon, MO 63366 USA Good friend and true American Dale was in another class at Elgin High but I knew him from friends in South Elgin. I graduated in 1966 from Elgin and shortly afterwards went in the Marine Corps also serving in Viet Nam. I had not heard of Dale's death until I came home. He was always a good friend and would always go out of his way to help a friend. He was like so many of us then, we needed a direction and we found it in the services. God Bless you Dale and keep you safe. Wednesday, January 26, 2005
Bob Schmitz rschmitz@rschmitz.com Dale and were very good friends in boot camp, infantry training and advanced infantry training. I don't think I ever missed taking a liberty with him. We came home for a leave in November 1966. Dale and I went back to his high school. He was showing off his dress blues. He was the center of attraction. He loved it. What a great guy. Steve Wiziarde krypt_o_knight48@yahoo.com I was in Dale's high school graduating class. Although I knew him only casually I can still see him in my minds eye. I remember Dale as handsome and popular. I also served a tour of duty in Viet Nam. There is a song by the Eagles that contains the lyric, "I don't know why fortune smiles on some.and let's the rest go free." Gone now these 36 years. I still remember. And I'll never forget those who paid the ultimate price. We miss you, Dale. Tuesday, October 14, 2003
