3 served, 2 came home
You, Jim, and I were like brothers. All three of us served, Jim and I came back. We speak of you often and contemplate the good man you were and would have been. You became a corpsman because you were willing to serve but not to kill. I held your wife at the funeral and both Jim and I tried our best to comfort your parents, or perhaps they were comforting us. We know it is only luck of the draw that we are here and you are not. You will never be forgotten.
