“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. “He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!

A man, with no fear
I have never met a man, with such conviction to duty, as Buck Albright had. He showed no fear, when taking point, while out on patrols. In fact, he insisted on it. He said, to me one time, "What's the fun in standing back here, I want to see some action." I remember one such day, that he, took point and snuck up on the enemy, as they were entering, a tunnel. He managed, to single handedly capture several VC., sympathisers, along, with medical supplies and weapons. Buck was, a very important and integral part, of our unit and every man looked up to him, with respect, for his fearless attitude, toward the war. He never thought, about dying. His goal was always, to "Get in where the action was." I miss, his scruffy humor and will always remember, how he influenced all of our lives with his no fear synopsis, on life. God Bless you, Buck and Thank you, for your ultimate sacrifice. I salute you. OORAH!!!!!!!!

Served with him, in Hoi An, 1969
Nanoose Bay, B.C., Canada
I served, with LCpl., Buck Albright, in the Hoi An area, Quang Nam, RVN., from March, 1969, until his death, in May, 1969, in Company K, 3rd, Battalion, 1st, Marine Regiment, 1st, Mar., Div., FMF.. He was a gentle person, who took the time to explain to an FNG, what he, had learned about survival in the 'Nam, in the infantry. Sadly, he fell victim to enemy fire, shortly after. However, I will never forget his contribution to my survival, nor the debt, I owe him. I have attached a photo, of him and I, taken, in April, 1969, at Hoi An, K/3/1, rear area. He is the one, not wearing, a helmet. Semper Fi.

We went, to the 3rd, Battalion, 1st, Marine Division, in Danang, in 1968 and were assigned, to Kilo, Company, Buck, to 1st, platoon, myself, to 3rd, platoon. I became, the company, radio, operator and was reassigned, as a Battalion, S-1, reports/statistics clerk, in April, of 1969. Buck was a terrific person, with a great, sense, of humor and I miss him, to this day.
