I've thought about you for 40 years
Rusty- Thanks man for being a good bud to me in the short time we got to know each other. Thanks for your sacrifice and I'm sorry I could not do more for you that terrible day when we were ambushed on Dec 8, 1968. Why it wasn't me, God only knows. When I helped put you on the chopper that day I prayed that you would be ok, but it was not meant to be. You fought a long battle to stay alive for three months, as I knew you would, but God had other plans for you. It's taken me 40 years to be able to finally say a few words to you but I'm glad I did. Rest in Peace Brother. Semper Fi Lyle
