~Thank You, Cpl. Alvin Maynard Slaton ~

A Multitude of Thanks for your Courage, Service and Dedication to our Country and for Freedom. Rest well and know that you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. My brother, Sgt. David Dickinson is a young hero, who also made the Supreme Sacrifice in Vietnam in 1967.....'FROM THESE HONORED DEAD, WE TAKE INCREASED DEVOTION, TO THAT CAUSE FROM WHICH THEY HERE GAVE THE LAST FULL MEASURE OF DEVOTION, THAT WE HERE HIGHLY RESOLVE, THESE DEAD SHALL NOT HAVE DIED IN VAIN'.....~Abraham Lincoln, Gettysburg Address~

to Al Slaton, His spirit lives On.
thank you for all you taught me in 'Nam. thnx for letting me write your sister. i have felt so bad through the years, i really tried to keep you alive, the corpsman took over, i felt i should have stayed with you. now i have a place to talk with you, perhaps meet up with you again, someday . i left a beer for you, by the Wall, we'll toast again someday. i have always wished we could have changed places. but, you are always with me on Nov 10-11, the whole tour. Thank you for being there when i needed a big brother. and i still have the Trilogy books, and i still surf, and yoga is still cool, and i miss you. Yeh, someday.!
