I remember you as Butch growing up. You are James, my brother, and I miss you very much. Life has never been the same without you. We joked together and enjoyed life as sister and brother. I wish that we could have grown older together and shared many more laughs together. I love you very much!

Dearest Uncle Jim,
After all these years I still cry at the loss of my favorite uncle. You mean so very much to me and I am so very proud that you chose to serve your country. Grandpa was proud of you and I know you saw me bawling at your funeral and how they tried to quiet me for the sake of my Grandpa Stuart. I was too young to know what it meant to my grandpa that you were killed in the line of service, in the Marine Corps. Thank you!

I will forever be grateful for your honorable service and supreme sacrifice that you have so courageously bestowed upon our nation. You will forever live in the hearts of all of those you have touched. Rest well brave Marine. ~~~~ I am very grateful and would like to honor all of our Vietnam veterans who have so proudly and courageously served our country. No veteran should ever be forgotten. The veteran who lived through this horrible war, left with everlasting memories and whose lives may be altered forever, the disabled veteran who returned with hardships and many permanent reminders and the pain of that war, the POW/MIA veteran we wait for and whose family and friends are tormented for so, so long not knowing and the fallen veteran who gave his/her life at such a young age leaving their families and loved ones devastated forever - all had one thing in common and that was to fight for our freedom, our country, for us - we owe them so much and a thank you is where to begin and to never forget them for their gallantry, fortitude and valor.
