Manuel Pino Bco 2/8th 1st Cav 68-69 mpjr54@msn.com Fellow Vietnam Army Vet 162 AHC Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings, Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds and done a hundred things. You have not dreamed of wheeled and soared and swung, high in the sunlit silence, hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace, where never lark, or even eagle flew, and, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of God. Christina Fisher TinaRee38@aol.com daughter Wow, what do you say about a man you never had the chance to know. This man was and is my father. A father who I never had a chance to know or had the chance to know me or the two beautiful grandchildren he now has. I am very proud that my father served his country but sad that he had to die for it. I have been told he was a gentle and kind man, but there are so many things I do not know and will never have the chance to know. My only hope is that where ever he is he knows that I turned out okay and that I miss him and think of him daily. Thursday, June 03, 1999
