Fathers walk to DC
I remember his father walking to Washington DC. I just wonder why I never see or hear mention of this? Am I imagining it? I don't know how to research if this really happened. At the time I thought it was a wonderful thing. If I'm remembering correctly he felt that the body they sent home wasn't his son because it was very tall and his son was shorter.

Never forgotten
Was watching something on PBS where the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall was shown and I thought about you as I do every now and then. We never dated, though I wish we had. Instead we spoke on the phone quite often. You were a special friend and I still think about you & miss you.

He Was So Young
I was thinking about those four men that we lost during a fire fight. I worked in the motor pool ordering parts for all of the equipment that the company used. When the convoy got hit we lost Rex, Lt. Hill, Doc, and I forgot the last man. I remember that Rex's mom had sent a photo that Rex took with some of the guys and she sent the company a letter with that photo and ask if anyone on that picture knew how her Rex died. She ask if someone on the photo could write her and tell her what had happen to Rex....how he died. I remember someone telling that he lie about his age to get into the army. I also remember that he wanted to be a door gunner. Thanks for your duty Rex. Rest in peace. Basil Espinosa San Diego, Ca.
