Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother”. Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

thanks pat. my thoughts for you and your family are for love and goodfortune
I remmember that you were a friend to my brother robert carruth. at James Lick h/s it was my brother bob,you (pat) roger, and Larry. you all should be enjoying retirment around now if you guy's where here with us still. Only Larry is left as far as i know.Roger went with a heart attack. My brother robert passed in the same manner, heart disease. You pat gave it all for our country. A harddened Marine still in his teen's. I understant that while on patrol your squad came under attack. During the exchange of gun fire a hand grenade was hurled at you and the men nearest you. Without heseitation you acted. You bravely warned the other's and took the major brunt of the blast that took your short life. And so Pat you will be just one of the many names on the Wall. My brother went to "Nam" the following year with 25th infantry Div. U.S. Army Based in and around Saigon, and Chu Chi area. Bob served 2 tours. Won a purle heart for a sever head injury caused by morter fire. He was sent to Tokyo for re-habilation. bob was just not the same happy guy full of hopes dreams. "Nam" changed him forever.Larry was a Marine but he made it back. Even Larry was changed. I joined the Army and volluntered for combat duty wen i was 20 yrs old. So I was sent to "NAM"with the 101st airmobile to the norther most part of South viet nam. " Camp Eagle" thank you Pat. thanks you Robert "bob" C. thanks Larry. Life is sometimes hell when there are such tragic losses. But these days I don't dwell on things that bring me down I think and hope for Peace. I imagine peace everyday for all of us. WELCOME HOME MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS
