An old warrior's wish 'When I am dead, cry for me a little. Think of me sometimes, but not too much. It is not good for you to dwell too long. Think of me now and again as I was in life, at some moment which is pleasant to recall, but not for long. Leave me in peace as I shall leave you, too, in peace.'

Voltz attended Bok Vocational High School and was a deckhand on a tugboat for three years before entering the Army in May 1966. The private first class, a rifleman with Company B of the 2nd Battalion, 47th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division, was killed on March 11, 1967, in Vietnam when a weapon being cleaned by a soldier in his unit accidentally fired. The 25-year-old Voltz was survived by his mother and two sisters. Robert lived on S. 6th Street in the Queen's Village section of Philadelphia. Source: The Philadelphia Daily News
