Never Meant To Be
Dickie Walker, what a crush I had on you in high school but you only knew me as Carol'a little sister. I went to elementary school with your sister Kay at St. Charles in Pikesville but when I got to Franklin, I dreamed of you asking me out. I must have done some growing up after you left school because after I graduated from school and turned 18, my dream came true when you were home on leave and you asked me out. We sat on my front lawn talking about your next leave and our first date.....we never got that opportunity....it was never meant to be....but that dream will always remain with me.

To a Dearest Brother
My Brother, My Best Friend, When visiting your grave, I feel your closeness within me. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you. My son, Todd, reminds me so much of you, as he looks like you and has your personality. Our mother noticed the same thing. I miss you so much, but it is peaceful knowing that I will see you again one day. God Bless You, and thank you so very much for defending our wonderful country. You were so brave. By the way, I've been keeping in touch with your friends, and it is a very good feeling. We all feel your presence. I Love You, Big Brother, and thank you for protecting me.

We Think Of You Always
Your love of life was only exceeded by your love of serving your country. I remember seeing you in Okinawa just weeks before you left us in honor. We remember you desire to continue to serve by planning to become a Maryland State Police officer when you returned home. You would have been a great one! Remembering all our good days in high school- Franklin will never be the same.

O God, by whose mercy the faithful departed find rest, look kindly on your departed veterans who gave their lives in the service of their country. Grant that through the passion, death, and resurrection of your Son they may share in the joy of your heavenly kingdom and rejoice in you with your saints forever. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
