What a shame to send boys off t war. Everyone who knew you will never forget the good natured, handsome boy that you were. You saved my nephew's life before you went off to war. When my nephew, Rodney Durham broke his neck in a diving accident, you found him underwater and with some other friends saved his life. Thank you for that act and I would also like to thank you for giving your life for all of us. We will forever be in your debt for your heroic acts. Diane Slaughter Noel

Happy Birthday
It's your birthday again. It seems like they come around so often. I think it's because it seems to impossible that the years just roll by so fast since I saw you last. We were both just innocent kids. You will forever be my young, wildly funny, hugely popular, sinfully handsome and available to the girls brother. Yes, you lived hard and fast and now I know why you had a lot of living to do in 18 short years! Just a kid really. I were my very best buddy in the world. Save me a place in heaven brother I will be there one day. Now, go fly with some angels and tear it up in heaven a little bit 'cause they have got to love you as much as we do. Happy Birthday

Veteran's Day 2010
Thinking of you on this Veteran's Day, as I always do. Wishing I could have just one more day with you. I still miss you everyday. Our sister Rose's grand daughter Amy gave you a little namesake on October 30, 10. He is Liam 'Thomas Wayne' Estep. I was so proud and honored. I just cried for joy. I love you my hero, my angel, my brother. Yesterday, today, tomorrow, forever. Until I see you again....

Thinking of my brother on his 60th birthday. It doesn't seem possible that you left us 41 years ago. We still love you and miss you every day. I wish you were here with us. You left a hole in our hearts that will never be filled by another. Happy birthday my beloved brother, my hero. I will see you again some day. I Love you forever. Your sister, Patricia

My Beloved Brother, My Friend, My Hero
Well brother my best friend and truest hero, it is 40 years ago today that Vietnam took you away from us. I still miss you so especially this time of year. I wonder what you would have done with your life. What you would have become, how many children you would have. I have a son and a daughter and 5 grandsons. I tell them about you. Sometimes a certain way they look, I see you in them (or maybe I just want to see you in them.) I wish they could have known you for the conceited handsome young man you were. And the outstanding athlete who played football during a hay-day in the 60's that has not been equalled at Petersburg High School since. For the fun loving ladies man that everyone who ever met you loved. I truly think you were loved by so many and lived your life in the fast lane because you had so much living to do in such sweet little time. Somehow, it's like when I look back on it we somehow knew you were a special gift to be cherished for a short while. And we did. I love you always. I miss you always. So, fly with the angels and know I am so proud to have had you for my brother. You will never be forgotten. You didn't get to come home to us, so save room for us. Someday we will come home to you! My eldest grandson Zachary (13) did a report on The Wall last school year. He got into finding information on you and the war. I have tried to find fellow service men, but I haven't had any luck. I would love to connect with someone who was there with you during your time there. I love you always my angel, my brother, Your Sister Patricia
