Not too many months go by, through all these years, and I still remember your words in the letters we exchanged. It's funny how you don't let some things go and I guess I'll will always have you in my thoughts and that day I read in the Stars and Stripes that you had been KIA. Your a fine fellow. I wish we could have met in Danang for a beer and talked about the Boy Scouts and high school. Maybe latter. Your friend Richard (Navy river boats 68-69) Posted 10-17-12

I was sad when I heard about the ambush outside of Lang Co, even more when your name reached the CP at the train station. From 881S to Lang Co, you carried yourself with Marine proud and will always be forever young. The ones from India 3/26 that returned will grow old remembering your name and other, till we meet again. You make us proud that we served with you Muddy.

It has been many years, but you live in my memory
My dear friend, it has been many years but I remember your smile. The tough little guy who wanted to be a man. In the eyes of 1st squad, I Co 3/26 Marines you were always a man. We went through hell on 881 North and South. You always had a laugh. I remember your dying and the shock that I felt, I think of it and I feel sad that you were not able to go on living. We missed you then and you are missed now. I hope to visit your final resting place this year. I have been to Brittles in Tampa. we will meet again.
