Bill  Sadler TriadPress@Yahoo.com Friend and classmate POB 6182 West Palm Beach FL 33405 US Farewell, my friend Dennis and I were classmates at Forest Hill High School. On Monday afternoons in the Fall, we had a standing tackle football game. For a short guy, Dennis was a tough SOB and tackling him was a job.
I followed him into the USAF and was in Nav school when he was shot down. After the war, I flew a C-130E over the approximate area where he died. I still get chills when I remember looking down, not knowing where he was. Later, he was recovered and brought home.
RIP, old friend.

James  Upton glock31sf@yahoo.com A friend of my neighborhood See you in Heaven Dennis Well Dennis, it has been a long time since we grew up together on Hampton Road in West Palm Beach, Florida.
You were two years older then me and your brother David was a little younger. I can still see your family, your mom going to work as a nurse and your dad working at Wilkinson transfer and storage. We all played ball in the street, and sometimes your good friend from Clyde road joining us sometimes. I remember seeing you in your uniform while you were at home, and then reading about you as MIA in the paper.
Rest well Captain, will see you in Heaven shortly. Feb 16, 2011 |

alexa kim iig_alexa@yahoo.com I've had his bracelet 30 yrs. Etoile TX USA I remember getting the bracelet with his name on it, 30 years ago. I've had it with me ever since. I never forgot about him. I finally got up the courage to see if his name is on the Vietnam Vets Memorial Wall. He is. I was relieved and sad. He left behind a wife. He also left behind a grateful nation. These is no way we can repay the debt. The best we can do is honor his gift by treating Our Living Veterans -- all of them -- with respect and gratitude. I'm not a church goer, or Bible reader. But I know... he was welcomed Home with a giant embrace from God. Jul 14, 2007 |

Roy Spencer Fellow Air Force Vietnam Veteran Operation Linebacker Heros In the spring of 1972, the U.S. formulated the "Linebacker" offensive. On the first strike day, the entire force encountered heavy concentrations of anti-aircraft fire and 16 MiGs were seen. Three of the MiGs were downed, but the Air Force lost an air crew. An F4E flown by Capt. Jeffrey L. Harris and Weapons Systems Officer Capt. Dennis E. Wilkinson exploded and crashed. The Air Force believed there was reason to believe the two escaped the crippled plane, and declared them both Missing in Action. In 1973, 591 Americans were released from prisons in Hanoi. Harris and Wilkinson were not among them. After the war, Dennis E. Wilkinson's remains were returned to the U.S. May 10, 2007 |
