HONORING A YOUNG BRAVE MARINE HERO
MARINES ARE THE BEST FIGHTING UNIT IN THE WORLD ASK ANYONE. SO THIS MARINE WAS ONE OF THE BEST, HE DIDNT ASK FOR MUCH NOR DID HE NEED MUCH. NO! HE WAS WILLING TO GIVE ALL HE HAD, SO THAT THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE. BY DOING WHAT HE DID, HE ALLOWED HIS BROTHER MARINES, HIS FRIENDS BACK HOME, AND MILLONS OF OTHERS HE HAD NEVER MEET OR WOULD MEET. A HERO SOME WOULD SAY WEARS A CAPE OR A MASK OR HAS SUPERPOWERS BUT I KNOW REAL HEROS NEED NONE OF THESE THINGS REAL HEROS WEAR MARINE GREEN AND GIVE UP THIER FREEDOM SO THAT THIER FELLOW MAN CAN LIVE IN A FREE WORLD HAND SALUTE TO THE MARINE HERO SEMPER FI MAC!

I honor and remember you this day dear sir. You died on the this day so many years ago. The same day as my brother Howard W Bandelier - a Navy Hospital Corpsman and in the same area. Maybe the two of you served together. I am thankful for you and your gift to our country. Rest in peace American Hero.

For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

Never Forgotten
In Remembrance of this Young Marine Hero, on his birth date, with a Multitude of Thanks for his Courage, Service and Dedication to our Country and for Freedom. Rest well and know that you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. I am the sister of such a young hero, who made the Supreme Sacrifice in Vietnam 1967..... ."NOR SHALL YOUR GLORY BE FORGOT, WHILE FAME HER RECORD KEEPS, OR HONOR POINTS TO THE HALLOWED SPOT, WHERE VALOR PROUDLY SLEEPS" ~ Theodore O'Hara ~

I had the opportunity to visit The Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington DC. I was so overwhelmed with sorrow and pain that I could not hold back the tears for those heroes and their families who lost so much. Though my visit to the Wall was a few years ago, I feel that I left a piece of my heart there. To honor those who died in the Vietnam War and to say thank you I created a small tribute to those heroes. Please click on the link above to view memorial website.

Tommy D. was a good man at the MCRD in the hot August of 1965. We did a lot together. He, Kennedy and I made it our business to stroll the streets of Oceanside with our friend Frank August. I see that both Frank and Tommy are imprinted on the wall. I'm going back to DC over Memorial Day this year to a Marine Corps Scout Sniper Reunion, and I will visit the boys at the wall. It is not possible to tell anyone how much these memories of such good young men mean to me. I'm lucky, I was only wounded four times in the RSVN, but I'm alive now to honor my brothers, and they are my Brothers. To each of you who knew each of them, God Bless You and may God Bless the Marines.
