Who remembers me? I’ve lain so long here all alone And waited for a loving word, a touch, a thought, A whispered prayer That says that I am not forgot. Who remembers me? I was young and full of life. I loved, was loved, and wished to live In peace and honor, But it was not to be. Who remembers me. I died alone, I called your name, But we had no time left to touch, to kiss, To hold you one last time. Tell me, do you remember me? Who remembers me? The seasons turn from year to year. I lie here in the dreaming dark Alone in darkness. Tell me, have I been forgot? Who remembers me? But wait, I feel a touch of Loving hand upon my stone, a whispered word, A gentle kiss, a tender touch That tells me I am not alone Someone remembers me I sigh, I am not dead, I did not die. I live forever in their heart, a memory Of youth and love. Bless you my love, I am not forgot.

The Consumate Soldier
Frank had, what we called 'military bearing,' he was always standing tall. Back, in those days, we used the term 'Strike,' for those, with highly shined, boots and starched, well fiting uniforms. Frank was, always 'strike.' His boots were, so highly polished, that you could, see your reflection in them. His fatigues were, starched and fit like a glove. On any day, he looked like he could, walk a shift, at the Tomb, Of The Unknown Soldier, at Arlington, National Cemetary. I expeced him, to be a general, some day. I've looked, in our OCS., yearbook, many times, over the years and grieved, for the families that lost love ones in Vietnam. I believe he was born to be a soldier and I know he loved being one very much. His parents and other family members, can be proud, Of Frank's service. There was not, a better soldier, on the face, of this earth. It is fitting that Frank, was buried, at ANC.. God bless you for sharing, Frank, with us. I'm sorry, for your loss.

NEVER FORGOTTEN
Frank was, my best friend. We were inseparable, throughout flight school. many times, to the dismay, of his beautiful wife, Hanna. (Hannelore) Frank, had an adorable, daughter, named Scarlet. She was, his pride and joy. Frank, had already completed, one tour, in Vietnam as a Ranger, before we met, in flight school. He was, a brave man and an inspiration to me. I will, never forget the many hours, we spent learning cockpit procedures, flying together and yes - partying together. I appologize, to Hanna, for all the times, we were less than responsible. He did, so love, his family. Love Ya Frank, You are missed. Joe

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings, Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds and done a hundred things. You have not dreamed of wheeled and soared and swung, high in the sunlit silence, hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air. Up, up the long delirious, burning blue I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace, where never lark, or even eagle flew, and, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of God. On January 5th, a Copperhead, fire team, was providing gun cover for a slick spraying Agent Orange, along a canal near an ARVN., compound west, of Vinh Long. The slick, began receiving fire and the Copperheads, started, a gun run. Capt., Brinson, the gun platoon leader, was almost immediately hit in the throat by a round, that severed, a main artery. The pilot, WO., Allen Neher, took over and headed for the hospital at Vinh Long, using every ounce of torque he could pull, while the CE. and gunner, tried to give Capt., Brinson, first aid. He by-passed the helipad, flew underneath, some power lines and right up to the back door, of the Emergency Room. Unfortunately, they could not stop, the bleeding and Capt., Brinson died, before they made it, to the hospital.
