Danielle  Myers daniellemyers18@yahoo.com USA For those of you who knew Mark Allen i just wanted to say April of 2008 My fifth grade and I went to the Vietnam Memorial. Before we went we all had to research somebody ( we had to use this website to) and we had to write a letter to them thanking them and there family for such a sacarfice. We then went to Washington DC and to the memorial and we got to lay our letter down under the panel they were in. They would then pick them up that night and put them into a case that familys of soliders could read. I found Mark Allen and saw that he was from Asheville NC, he was baptists and last was only 19 years old so i had to pick him. If yall get a chance please look in that box and read my letter my name is Danielle Myers. I just wanted to tell the family you know everyday you are in my prayers. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD.
In God's Love,
Danielle Myers Jun 10, 2009

The soldiers do not speak. Nevertheless, they are heard in the still houses: who has not heard them? They have a silence that speaks for them at night and when the clock counts. They say: We are young. We have died. Remember us. They say: We have done what we could but until it is finished it is not done. They say: We have given our lives but until it is finished no one can know what our lives gave. They say: Our deaths are not ours: they are yours they will mean what you make them. They say: Weather our lives and our deaths are for peace and a new hope or for nothing we cannot say: it is you who must say this. They say: We leave you our deaths. Give them their meaning. We were young. they say. We have died. Remember us:
