echo, 2/7, meade river
I remember how popular you were, when you returned, from the hospital. You seemed, entirely indestructible. We shared, a tent at the edge of Hill 55, before Daring Endeavor. I didn't see you again, until the 22nd, lying behind the dike. It was obvious you had fought, till the end. Me and Meyers, brought you back, across the river. I have grown a mustache in your honor, since that day. You are never far, from my thoughts. You, are a hero.

Semper Fi, Brother
Brother Ben, 40, years ago, today. I'm sorry, I was not there to cover your back, like you always, covered mine. I was wounded, on 12, Nov. and was in Japan. I think of you, every day. I visited the wall and touched your name, on 12, Nov., this year, I thought that was fitting. I see Dan, Victor and Bill, have visited this site, good Marines all. I have been in contact, with Stefani and Don. You are always, in their thoughts. E, 2/7, has a reunion, 06/2009, in Texas, I know you will, be with us. Take care brother, you are forever a Warrior, of Stone. Sleep well, Semper Fi! Tom B., Sergeant, USMC., ret.

Fellow Marine
He was attached to the 1st, Plt., I think. The platoon and HQ., Plt., crossed the river and the gooks opened up, on them. My platoon was, waiting to cross. We established a defensive line, on our side of the river. After the firing died down, Cpl., Ball, Myself, SSgt., Luto and a couple more Marines, crossed the river and pulled Burge, the machine gun and the radio back, to our lines. That was a bad day, for the company. So many good Marines, got hit, that day. I remember one, Marine, who just got to the platoon, that morning. I never did know, his name. Semper Fi!
