Peggy Calloway  Maze dated Mike "Softie," Seneca HS Louisville KY 40228 USA A wonderful young man I want all to know that Mike was a great young man. He was a gentle person. Mike's closest friends called him Softie. I am not sure why we called him that, but he liked it and it was a term of endearment. I dated Mike for almost a year when we were about 16. Mike came to see me before he shipped out. I will never forget that day. I think of him often. While in Washington a few years ago, I saw his name on The Wall. It was so sad to see, but made me proud too. God love you Mike. You will always have a special place in my heart. Peggy Jan 27, 2008

Michael Schneider Schneiderm@mailcity.com Son 1912, Jackson Drive, Sellersburg, IN., 47172, USA The Father, I Never Met- The Person I See, In The Mirror Dad, I cannot say to you, that I know you. only the memory, of the laminated newspaper clipping, that I saw at 12, it disappeared when mom died. I cannot say, I wanted you to be proud of me, GOD knows, I've done wrong in my life, not having you there for me hurt sometimes, your family refused to believe, that I existed, your mother bess insisted, that I, never contact them again. I kept my promise! now that my family has gone, except for harry, (gramps) bill (uncle) and jim, (other uncle) I have adapted well, to my situation. I know, that I will get to meet you someday, I wonder if michelle looks like you? Well dad I'm doin okay, I think, drive for a local disributor- hate the shop, but love, the drives in the country- it's a livin! I never settled down to havin kids, or a wife, mines waitin up there with you, say hey for me okay? I never thought, I would consider writing you a letter, always asked GOD to relay the msg., to you. (lol) Dad, I know your on the other side, so I'm hoping to ask you a favor, please ask for my prayers to be answered, I need to know that things, are gonna be okay and I trust, that you know this too. Daphne promised to wait for me, when I past on. I hope your there too, Well dad I will keep talkin to you, in my prayers and hope, you and GOD will, keep me on the chosen path and if anyone from the caller family read this, just understand that I really did want to know you all, but bess told me not, to contact any of you. This is probably because I was the product, of dad feelin his oats, before being shipped off, to nam. I want you guys to know, that even though I'll never know you, I love you all and maybe in heaven, get a chance to know you, face to face! We were a Dysfunctional family in some ways, so I guess thats normal. (lol) Until we meet, take care of yourselves and never let another member, slip out of site no matter the circumstance! Michael Allen Schneider, Born November 29, 1967, Louisville, Genral Hospital, 9:43pm, 6'2.75," at present date, if it helps you guys to believe, I'am his son. Wednesday, March 31, 1999

Phil Thornton phil11b40@bellsouth.net Fellow, Vietnam Vet., from Louisville The reasons for these brave men, going, to Vietnam can be varied and numerous. But in the end what really matters, is, that they went. They served, their country honorably.
