William Taylor A Fellow Veteran It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, Who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves under the flag, And whose coffin is draped in the flag, Who allows the protester to burn the flag. ©Copyright by Charles M. Province. America has been built on the blood of Heros and Brave Men of Honor. Thank you for your service, bravery, and commitment to duty. Thank you for my freedom. Rest well in Gods loving embrace brave soldier. You are remembered by a grateful nation. Jan 19, 2008 |

In the rising and setting of the sun, we remember them. In the blowing of the wind and the chill of the winter, we remember them. In the opening of the buds, the blueness of the sky, the rustle of the leaves and the blanketing of the snow, we remember them. When we are weary, lost , and sick at heart, when we have joys to share , we remember them. For as long as we live they too shall live, for they are a part of us always.

Frank Hall ccifh@comcast.net USMA., Classmate and Friend 4534, LaSalle Ave., Alexandria, VA., 22304, USA Goodbye, to a fellow, classmate and friend http://thewall-usa.com/guest.asp?recid=8918 Steve and I, were USMA., 1963, classmates, were in, the same company - H-1. He was, an outstanding swimmer and should, have been captain, of the swim team. I was stationed, in Munich, Germany, while Steve was, in Augsburg, about an hour's, drive away. When I took, a 2, week course, in Augsburg, I stayed with Steve. He was always gracious, friendly and professional. I heard, that the reason he was killed, in Vietnam, was when, his troops were ready, to open fire on a cave - Steve said, "Wait - there are women and children in there." Because, of this delay, he was killed, by enemy gun fire. Compassion would be, a good addition to add, to his many values. Col., (Ret.) Francis G. Hall, Jr., USA., USMA., Classmate. Jan 2, 2007 |

Jackie Taylor You, Sir, Have Not, Been Forgotten! href="http://www.geocities.com/rememberance004">http://www.geocities.com/rememberance004
I had, the opportunity to visit, The Vietnam Memorial Wall. I was so overwhelmed, with sorrow and pain, that I could not hold back the tears, for those heroes and their families, who lost so much. Though my visit, to the Wall was a few years ago, I feel, that I left a piece, of my heart there. To honor those, who died in the Vietnam, War and to say thank you, I created a small tribute, to those heroes. Please click, on the link above, to view, my website. Sunday, March 14, 2004 |

Brigadier General Ramon M. Ong (Ret) - USMA 1963 azrong@cox.net Armed Forces, of the Philippines Farewell, to an American Hero! A final salute, to a fine West Pointer, from another, Vietnam Veteran, who remembers well, his friend and classmate. We started our Cadet life, in the same "Beast Barracks," Company, together and I watched him, develope, into a superb athlete, a diligent student and an outstanding leader. We were together, in the Army, Swimming Team, for 4, years and I witnessed him, set, new Academy, breaststroke records, many times. He was one, of the ushers, who crossed sabers, at my wedding, on Graduation Day, June 5, 1963. I never saw him again, afterwards and I learned, about his death, many, many years later.
