He was killed at QUANG NAM on 1-7-68. He was the intelligence officer at LZ ROSS. His tour began 7-4-67. He was in a helicopter on a recon mission when it was shot down. He survived the crash, but I don't know how he died. Prior to his tour in Vietnam he was an ROTC INSTRUCTOR at OSU in STILLWATER, OK. Contributed By Karen Manning ArmstrongOn Tuesday, April 06, 1999 My brother was KIA in Vietnam near DaNang on Jan.30,1968 Before Vietnam, he was a Di at Parris Island from around 1964 to end of 1966. He received his second lietenent commission on, Sept. 13, 1966, before leaving for Vietnam. He was rerouted to California for 4 months with an MP Battalion, before arriving in Nam on May 1, 1967. All these years I have always wanted to talk with the men he served with, but never knew how. Thank God for computers! If you think you might can help me just e-mail me at karena@risecom.net.
